RBC GranFondo Whistler

Beautiful road with tall mountains, forest and blue lake — Sea to Sky Highway the road used in the RBC GranFondo Whistler

RBC GranFondo Whistler returns on September 6, 2025, bringing riders together for an epic cycling journey from Vancouver to Whistler. This unforgettable point-to-point ride unfolds along the iconic Sea to Sky Highway, offering sweeping coastal and mountain views with roads fully closed to traffic.

Cyclists can choose from three route categories. The Medio route (55 km) begins and ends in Whistler, with a relaxed rollout, e-bike-friendly access, and a scenic rest stop at Whistler Olympic Park. The GranFondo route (122 km) starts in Vancouver’s Stanley Park, crosses the Lions Gate Bridge, and climbs 2,300 meters before finishing in Whistler Village. For an added challenge, the Forte route (152 km) adds a climb up Cypress Mountain before merging back into the main course, totaling over 3,100 meters of elevation gain.

Since its debut in 2010, RBC GranFondo Whistler has become one of the most celebrated cycling events in North America. Riders of all levels, from recreational cyclists to elite amateurs, come together to push their limits and take in world-class views. The event has earned recognition as one of the best Gran Fondos on the continent.

More than just a ride, the event includes on-course support such as mechanical assistance, medical teams, chip timing, and nutrition stations. The weekend also features an expo, package pick-up, and a lively finish line celebration in Whistler’s Celebration Plaza.

RBC GranFondo Whistler blends athletic challenge, breathtaking scenery, and a festive community vibe. Whether you’re chasing a personal record or enjoying the journey, this event offers an unforgettable Sea to Sky experience.
