Jasper Pond Hockey Tournament

Two skaters with hockey sticks in Jasper National Park

The Jasper Pond Hockey Tournament is scheduled for January 24–26, 2025, on Lake Mildred at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper National Park. This annual event features 4-on-4 games without referees, off-sides, or goalies, reminiscent of traditional pond hockey. Teams consist of 4 to 8 players, with separate men’s and women’s recreational and competitive divisions. Each team is guaranteed at least four games. Tournament packages include a two-night stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and a $30 voucher for Orso Trattoria.

During their stay, participants can also enjoy activities such as skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding.

The tournament is part of the Jasper in January festival, which celebrates winter with various events and activities.

For more information or to register, visit the official event page.

Please note the event starts at 2:00 PM MST.

With humility and deep respect, we acknowledge that we live and work within the present-day territories of Treaty 6, 7 and 8, as well as the Métis Homeland. The lands and waters of Banff National Park have been used for millennia by Indigenous Peoples for sustenance, ceremony, trade and travel. We thank them for their continued stewardship and for sharing this land.
