Jasper Folk Music Festival

A guitarist at the Jasper Folk Music Festival

The Jasper Folk Music Festival fills Commemoration Park with music, mountains, and community spirit. Held September 5–6, 2025, this two-day festival features folk, roots, blues, and more in the heart of Jasper National Park.

This year’s all-Canadian lineup includes The Strumbellas, Frazey Ford, Brasstactics, DJ Shub, Leeroy Stagger, Sonia Deleo and the New Dads, Captain Thunderpants, Northbound Train, Marie Filpo-Bergeron, and Westmore. With performances from emerging talent and well-known acts alike, there’s something for every music fan.

The main stage sits beneath the peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Pop-up shows take over pubs, parks, and even the fire hall. Food trucks and artisan vendors round out the experience, serving local flavours and handmade goods. When the sun goes down, the festival keeps going with high-energy After Dark events.

The setting is part of the magic. Commemoration Park offers stunning mountain views, wide-open skies, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for families, couples, and groups of friends. Many visitors arrive on foot or by bike, making the festival feel like an organic part of the town. Public transit is available, and everything is within easy reach of Jasper’s walkable downtown.

The Jasper Folk Music Festival celebrates more than just music. It brings people together to share stories, discover new artists, and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds them. It’s a true community gathering, where locals and visitors meet under the mountains to celebrate creativity and connection.

Join the rhythm of Jasper this September. Whether you’re swaying to acoustic melodies or dancing into the night, this is one weekend you won’t forget.

With humility and deep respect, we acknowledge that we live and work within the present-day territories of Treaty 6, 7 and 8, as well as the Métis Homeland. The lands and waters of Banff National Park have been used for millennia by Indigenous Peoples for sustenance, ceremony, trade and travel. We thank them for their continued stewardship and for sharing this land.

We pay respect to all Indigenous peoples who have marked these lands for centuries as we continue to walk forward, together.
